Lawyer with entrepreneurial mindset
Cheryl de Meza is legal counsel of De Meza Legal. My style is 'business sense and sensibility'. I am rational and realistic.
I advise, write and speak about legal aspects of artificialintelligence, robotics and blockchain, including privacy and ethical issues. I do that pragmatically and in clear language. I am known for my refreshing insights, clear vision and strong analysis. I want to develop continuously, that's why I believe in lifelong learning. I tackle things both legally and operationally, professionally and commercially. I can negotiate well and communicate clearly and concisely, always focused on a concrete result.
Strong and thorough in the content, but always pragmatic. For example, because of my expertise and successful track record I worked on the amendment of Chapter 5 Telecommunications Act in 2007 on construction, maintenance and removal of cables. And I love writing. I am co-author of the publication 'Sharing business equipment in telecommunications' ('Delen van bedrijfsmiddelen in de telecommunicatie', ITeR 82, Sdu Publishers The Hague, 2007).
I have an entrepreneurial mindset. You can clearly see this in my posture. And I am committed to promoting legal entrepreneurship. I create and initiate special projects therefor.
I graduated from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1995 (business legal direction) and have substantial legal experience, including as legal counsel at KPN. Given my experience and background I focus on technology related legal issues.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. ...
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
